Scott Duxbury

Scott Duxbury signed for Stockport County from Northwich Victoria in the summer of 2016, returning to the club for a third season following a nine month spell at Northwich Victoria under current County boss Jim Gannon. The left back was part of the Northwich side that won seven FA cup games on the bounce before crashing out to League 2 side Northampton Town in the second round proper.

Scott made his breakthrough at Edgeley Park in 2014, after the defender broke into Alan Lord’s first team and before his departure in 2015, the 22-year old made over 60 appearances for County.

The defender is now only the second current County player to pass the 100-game mark after making 36 appearances for the club last season. Despite a serious head injury before Christmas, he was a major part of the back five that conceded only 41 goals last year.
