Sam Walker

Sam signed from Salford City on a two year deal after rejecting a new contract with the club for the 2017-18 season. The central midfielder became County’s 6th summer signing and will go some way to replace the outgoing top-scorer, Danny Lloyd.

Walker scored 7 goals for The Ammies in 2016/17 as well as creating a further 13 for the club, and despite initially agreeing to stay at the Greater Manchester club for a further year, the 29-year-old opted to join County after being made aware of Jim Gannon’s interest.

The Midfielder has also had spells at Curzon Ashton and Halifax Town before joining The Ammies at the start of the previous season.
