Jimmy Ball has left Stockport County to join Stevenage FC, following two successful seasons with the Hatters.
The club have announced that it is their highest fee ever received for a County player since the drop out of the league eight years ago.
The midfielder joined the Hatters from Stalybridge Celtic in September 2016, and has since gone on to play an integral part in County’s two play-off challenges.
Jimmy spoke to the clubs official website earlier today, expressing his delight at signing for the fourth tier outfit.
“I want to be a big player for the club and I can’t wait to show the supporters what I am all about”, he told Stevenagefc.com
Ball, a former Bolton Wanderers academy product, dropped out of league football in 2015, and this season made over 50 appearances for the Hatters, scoring 12 goals.
We’d like to wish Jimmy all the best with Boro next season.
