Stockport County travel to 2nd placed Harrogate Town on Tuesday as they hope to return to winning ways, following their defeat to Southport at the weekend.
Our opponents Harrogate Town play their football at Wetherby Road. Nicknamed ‘Town’, Harrogate was founded in 1914 as Harrogate AFC, before becoming Harrogate Town after the second world war.
Town went full-time this season and that gamble has been rewarded with a successful season so far where, despite losing their last two matches, the club sit second behind Salford.
After suffering an ankle injury at Southport, Rhys Turner could miss out on the midweek fixture. However Gary Stopforth, who returned from a slight injury at the Sandgrounders, is back in line to start after completing 70 minutes at the weekend.
Chris Smalley could come back after missing the last three matches through personal commitments, but faces tough competition from Jamie Stott, Stephen O’Halloran and Michael Clarke.
