County lost their unbeaten record at Edgeley Park which stretched back almost 12 months, as two late Spartan goals saw Alun Armstrong’s side take home three points.
County started brightly and could have been three goals to the good, before a Matty Warburton penalty gave the Hatters a deserved lead.
The elation lasted only minutes, though, as Adam Wrightson took advantage of some shoddy defending at the other end of the pitch to draw Blyth level.
The second half could have gone either way, with both sides seemingly happy to take home a point each, but the Spartans showed why they are the top scorers in the division with two clinical, late finishes.
Michael Liddle first beat Hinchliffe in the 92nd minute with a low drive, before Jarrett Rivers seized on a rebound to put the game beyond doubt.
