REPORT: Nightmare at Broadhurst Park, as County’s FA Cup run ends

County were defeated by the nine men of FC United in a horrendous FA Cup replay at Broadhurst Park, with the hosts, despite having a two man disadvantage for much of the game, prevailing by a single goal.

Mike Connor and Matty Hughes were both sent off in the first half, as FC United struggled to keep their discipline in a fiery first half.

But County could not make their numerical advantage count, and in the 48th minute, fell behind to a Tom Greaves finish from a corner.

The next 40 minutes were predictably played in the FC United half, but despite racking up 14 corners, could not breach the determined Red Rebels defence.
