Only 13 years ago, Telford United FC were liquidated with debts of 4 million after finishing 12th in the Conference North. Fortunately, the newly reformed AFC Telford United, which started life in the Northern Division 1 (Tier 8), took to their new guise like a duck takes to water and made it to the National League Premier only four years ago.

Disappointingly, their position in the country’s top division of non league only lasted a season and they have been struggling in the NLN for the past two seasons. Finishing 18th in 2016 and 17th in 2017 after a succession of managers and players. This year, they have impressed on the road with a host of new players but five defeats in five at home have put them in danger of the bottom three, they currently sit 16th.

Team News:

In the middle of the park, County’s new signing, Bohan Dixon, could make his Hatters debut after signing from Halifax early this week, whilst Gary Stopforth will hope to make his second appearance this season. In defence, Michael Clarke and Sam Minihan could miss out after both walked off injured at the weekend.
