Stockport County manager Jim Gannon has told Hatters fans that no less than five injured players could feature this weekend.
Gannon, who was speaking to County TV after the game, told supporters that Jason Oswell, Ben McKenna, Harry Winter and Stephen O’Halloran could all return from their respective injuries in time for this weekends game against Bradford.
Oswell and McKenna, who missed out only with minor injuries, combined for The Hatters on Saturday to score County’s first and only goal of the game.
Club capatain Winter has been out for the previous two weeks whilst Stephen O’Halloran has not featured since the opening day defeat against Spennymoor.
There was good news regarding Gary Stopforth too, as Gannon revealed his international clearance should be complete by Saturday’s match.
The midfielder re-signed for the club just hours prior to the victory over Curzon Ashton at the beginning of August, but has been sidelined due to the strict FIFA regulations on players moving between countries.
County’s injury list has been longer than most so far this season, so the return of the quintet will come as a much-needed boost to Gannon, ahead of two crucial home matches next week against Bradford and Southport.
