O’Halloran fighting to get fit for County

County’s summer signing Stephen O’Halloran is working hard to get himself back playing, after an injury on his second competitive debut at Spennymoor put him out of action.

The defender played a big part in County’s pre-season, and carried Jim Gannon’s faith into the first match, starting in the centre of defence and keeping popular defender Chris Smalley out of the team against Spennymoor on the opening day.

But a pulled muscle midway through that game has seen the left-sided defender out of action for the previous two weeks, although the defender let Hatters fans know via twitter that he would be back soon.

With Michael Clarke also missing the Salford match through injury too, the former Salford man’s return cannot come soon enough.
