Stockport County will welcome Harrogate Town, to Edgeley Park this coming Saturday, as County look to continue their winning ways following the dispatch of Curzon Ashton on Tuesday.
Our opponents Harrogate Town play their football at Wetherby Road. Nicknamed ‘Town’, Harrogate was founded in 1914 as Harrogate AFC, before becoming Harrogate Town after the second world war.
Recent results have seen Harrogate Town leap to the top of the league, scoring six goals, all without conceding a single goal.
Despite a terrific result on Tuesday over local rivals Curzon Ashton. Jim Gannons side know they will have to be at the top of their game to beat the newly-professional Town.
Stephen O’Halloran is a doubt for Saturdays match after missing the Curzon game with injury. Adam Thomas is also out for up to a number of weeks, however his injury was earlier this week deemed ‘not as serious’ as first thought.
The match will be played at Edgeley Park, with the Main Stand, Cheadle End and Popular Side open for home supporters and the Pop Side/Railway End allocated for away fans, depending on the weather.
Edgeley Park, Hardcastle Road, Stockport SK3 9DD
Admission is priced at £15/£10/£5 and kick off will be at 3pm.
Imagine FM will also be covering the game on 104.9FM.
So get down to Edgeley Park this Saturday and roar on the boys in blue to victory, after all, ‘it’s forever being beautiful’.
