After a roller-coaster ten years since forming in 2005, FC United have established themselves as comfortable National League North side and two 13th placed finishes since joining the division testify to that. Couple their stability on the pitch with a new stadium opening in 2015 means that not many FCUM supporters could complain. Despite the success, the club have seen a 22% drop in attendances over the past season. But after a number of good signings over the summer, the Moston-based club will be hoping that they can push towards the play-off spots. This, despite not having the financial backing that media rivals Salford City are currently enjoying.

FC Play at Broadhurst Park, a stadium located on the outskirts of Oldham, and was officially opened two years ago with a game against Benfica. The ground is surprisingly small for a new build and only contains 4,400 at full capacity. At one end, a terrace lifted straight from Northwich Victoria’s old ground sits and will house the majority of the United support. If you look from this stand to the left, you’ll see the main stand that houses the only seats in the stadium The other two stands are covered but not raised and will not house many spectators until they are eventually expanded, this will explain County’s small allocation of around 650 tickets for the game this season.
