Stockport County’s 2016/17 young player of the season, Sam Minihan, has signed an improved two year contract to keep him at the club until the end of the 2018/19 season.
The deal, which likely includes an option to go full-time next summer, is testament to the Loughborough University graduate’s hard work and commitment during the season, before his injury in March.
Minihan, who won Worcester City’s player of the season award the year before he joined County, made 45 appearances for The Hatters last term and scored three goals.
The deal was announced amidst the news that County are again on course to improve upon season ticket sales for the fourth year running, as the club ticked over the 1000 mark late last week.
