Gainsborough Trinity have been mainstays of the conference north since its induction in 2004. They came closest to leaving the division during the 2011-2012 season when they lost in the final of the play-offs to Nuneaton. The season after (the season County got relegated to CN), they managed to reach the semi-finals of the FA trophy before losing to Wrexham, the eventual winners. The last 3 seasons passed by relatively uneventfully for Trinity, and last season they finished in a rather unspectacular 16th place, an improvement on 17th in the previous year. County, however, did manage to do the double over The Holy Blues last season, winning 1-0 and 2-0.
Trinity play at The Northolme, which is also known as the Martin & Co. Arena. It has a capacity of 4304 with 515 seats and has been the home of Gainsborough for almost 150 years. The coming season’s prices have not been announced as of yet, but last seasons admissions for entry stood at £12 Adults, £8 Students/concessions and £4 for Under 16’s. For any County fans planning on making the journey east at the start of October, the journey will take you around 2 hours by car.
