After two back-to-back promotions in 2014 and 2015, Curzon Ashton have consolidated their position as an established Conference North side, finishing 11th and then 14th in their first two sixth tier campaigns. Current manager John Flanagan has been a revelation at the club since his appointment in 2011, and the club have gone from strength to strength. Despite losing two of their stronger players to County in 2017 (Matty Warburton and Connor Hampson) they are expected to remain competitive next season.
For County fans looking to travel to the away fixture, the match at the Tameside Stadium will be our closest of 2017. With Curzon having one of the lowest average attendances in the division, Hatters supporters will be given up to three sides of the ground depending on numbers expected. The ground is a new build with two covered stands and a sports bar on site for those wanting a drink or two. The ground is most easily reached by car and can be found just off junction 23 of the M60. Expect a 15 minute journey from Stockport although traffic and parking into the ground on match-days can get very busy.
