County 3-0 Altrincham

County scored three without reply for the first time this season as they overcame bottom-club Altrincham to move up to seventh place prior to the Christmas break.

Goals from Danny Lloyd, Jimmy Ball and Sam Minhan secured the win as 4000 supporters packed into Edgeley Park. And with County now 3 points of the play-off positions, moral will be high ahead of a crucial double-header against Harrogate over Christmas.

FULL-TIME: County 3 (Lloyd, 25; Ball, 77; Minihan, 90), Altrincham 0.

Team: Hinchliffe, Minihan, Duxbury, Montrose, Clarke (Capt.), Smalley, Felix (Ross, 55), Stopforth, Odejayi (Amis, 75), Ball (Meppen-Walters, 81), Lloyd.

Unused Subs: Ormson, Marsden.

Booked: Minihan, Clarke.

Sponsors Man of the Match: Montrose.

  1. Such a shame Fylde are paying…sorry, PLAYING; playing so well because I’d give us a shout at actually winning this division otherwise. I don’t think any of us can grumble at our position though. Perfectly poised to launch an attack on the playoffs in the back half of the season. Up the Hatters!
