FC United 2-0 County

County had a disappointing end to a good week as they went down to FC United after a 2 goal defeat at the hands of our Greater Manchester rivals.

A sold out, 650 strong allocation of County fans saw the hatters start well and Jim Gannon’s men had shaded the first 30 minutes before Wolfenden firing past Hinchliffe to see FC go 1-0 up at the break.

County hit the post 3 times during the second half but could not break through, whilst at the other end, Ross and Hinchliffe were doing everything to keep United out. Hinchliffe, however, could do nothing to stop substitute Dale Johnson nudging the ball past him in the 86th minute to seal the win for FC United.
