County came out on top in a topsy turvy clash at Edgeley Park. With goals from 3 different strikers and an injury time volley from Gary Stopforth winning it for County.
In a match that was very much a game of two halves, County came out the blocks firing as the Alfreton defence failed to deal with the tricky Danny Lloyd and the unplayable Kayode Odejayi, with both forward players getting a goal and assist each in the first half.
In the second half, it was Alfreton that attacked with purpose and they were rewarded, first with a throw which was flicked into the corner, and secondly with a 25 yard wonder-strike from Dan Bradley, to level the game.
But it was County that were to have the last laugh. After Allan was booked for a second time in the game for wasting time. County had the impetus and were rewarded in the 92nd minute with a Gary Stopforth volley that sent the players, management team and fans wild.
