County produced a memorable comeback in the last 2 minutes of injury time to snap victory from the jaws of defeat against Frank Sinclair’s Hednesford.
It appeared for all the world that County players and fans were going to go home with their tails between their legs after dominating most of the game but finding themselves 1-0 down with only a few minutes left on the clock.
Not so, however, and up steps Kayode Odejayi. The big front man first headed onto the post allowing Anoruo to stab in from close range. Then, almost straight from the kick off, Odejayi chased down a long Chris Smalley ball, beating the Hednesford defender and cooly lobbing the keeper, cue scenes of wild pandemonium from County coaches, players and supporters.
The victory, whilst unorthodox, means County are now only 5 points behind 5th spot in a division where only 2 months earlier, there were genuine fears of a relegation scrap.
