County’s Weekly News: Glenn Rule, Connah’s Quay Nomads and more

Rule Becomes 6th Signing:

Glenn Rule has joined the Hatters from Airbus UK. There’d been a rumour for a while due to Rule following the club on Twitter. But it was revealed a while ago by a paper local to the Wingmakers that he was signing for ‘a fee’. The County website finally confirmed it the other day, billing Rule as a ‘Europa league’ player, not that it means much.

Final Pre Season Friendly:

County also confirmed their final friendly of pre season, a home match on the 1st August against Connors Quay Nomads. A slightly underwhelming final match for the fans, but most likely will be a useful game against a physical Welsh Premier Division side, something the County players will no doubt find useful for the season ahead. Nomads just missed out on Europa League this season after losing their play-offs, and were a mid table team last season in the WPL. Tickets for this friendly are priced at £10 for adults, £7 for concessions and £3 for kids.

County Half Marathon:

Another note on the Hatters Half Marathon, make sure you sign up or offer your support in some way or another. Even if you don’t fancy running; you can pass on the details to a friend or volunteer in some way. The site you need for all the information is here: http://hattershalf.co.uk
