Kristian Dennis becomes the first transfer listed player to move away from the club, moving to his former club Macclesfield on a season long loan. Many have wondered why it’s only a loan and not an outright move, whilst others are disappointed at the departure. But it could be explained by the rumours appearing that Dennis was taking up a lot of the budget with his weekly wage, and by moving to Macclesfield, a large percentage of that has been wiped out (County may still have to pay a % of his wage).
Either way, good luck to Dennis! Despite being a little injury prone, he’s the closest we’ve had to a regular goal scorer since the days of George Donnelly and Carl Baker. I’m sure all County fans will be wishing him luck in his time down the road at the Silkmen.
