Hindsight is a wonderful thing, unfortunately it is often brought up in a negative way when talking about Stockport County. In this new feature, we’ll be posting snippets of interviews and news articles from the past and comparing them to the present day Stockport County, to see whether what was said is what happened, or in County’s case, what didn’t happen. Our maiden issue looks at the appointment of Darije Kalezic and what our esteemed chairman at the time thought of the appointment.
Certainly the sacking of Jim Gannon and the appointment of Kalezic did show a true reflection of the future direction of the club, with County getting relegated to the Conference North only a couple of months after the appointment and Kalezic getting sacked before the job was officially done.
Hindsight rating: 10/10 (Just not the direction we or Fearn would have wanted!)
